Urban intervention project consisting of mixed-media pieces on tongue-and-groove wood, left abandoned in random public spaces. The action invites reflection on the sense of loss and the erosion of communal bonds in contemporary life. Just as choristers cease to be without a choir, the modern subject finds themselves adrift, lacking the collective shelter once provided by pre-capitalist communities.
The choice of the word choir is not incidental. It evokes not only the idea of a shared voice, a collective presence, but also resonates phonetically in latin with heart, the organ traditionally associated with emotion and belonging. The work weaves together the social and the intimate, suggesting a longing for spaces of recognition, connection, and care.
By placing these quiet presences within the urban landscape, the project calls attention to absence, to the silent gap left by what no longer holds us.
